The Ashari Maturidi Sufis think visiting the Prophet Mohammed’s grave is recommended or even obligatory. One of the hadeeths that these people use to justify their believes is the narration in which,
the prophet Mohammed said, “He who visited my grave or visited me I will be his intercessor or witness. And the one who dies in one of the Haramain he will be raised in peaceful people.”
Taylase reported it from Umar Ibn al-Khataab in his “Mosnad” (#65, Darul Maaref Beirut): The one who narrated from Umar is unknown.
Beyhaki gave a similar narration in his book “Shuabul imaan”: Narrated to me Abu Bakr ibn Harith al-Isfahani (chain) from a man from family of Khatab, from Khataab, from the prophet Mohammed, he said: “Whoever would visit me after my death is like visited me during my life, and the one who dies in one of the Haramain he will be raised in peaceful people.”
As you can see in the chain is a unknown narrator. There is the same problem in the chain of imam Daraqutni in his “Sunnan”.
Shaykh Zeylaye, in “Tahreej al kashaaf” (1/199) said about this hadeeth that it is weak.
